Seller's comments and description: 1968 mercedes benz 280se cabriolet conversionthis 280se started life as a coupe and was expertly converted to a cabriolet. The conversion appears to have beenexecuted using original mercedes benz parts. (the previous owner stated the conversion was done in germany duringthe 1970's but there is no documentation to support the claim.) i have a 280se cabriolet (not for sale) in mypersonal car collection. I parked the cars side by side and hard a hard time distinguishing much, if any,difference. In the past week, i personally drove (and photographed) this 280se for over 100 miles. This past mother's day, myfamily took this 280se to church and then lunch up a1a, along the florida coast. The 280se was a joy to drive andperformed flawlessly. I can honestly say, of all the cars i've bought and sold over the years, this 280se getsmore than its fair share of thumbs up and questions.
